Friday, March 1 / 9:30 pm-1:00 am
Standing on the shoulders of the contemporary string band movement, One Grass Two Grass forge their own style of folk meets old-time meets rock meets bluegrass craze. This Bay Area band has a deep understanding of bluegrass roots and old mountain tunes, while blazing trails on the progressive forefront of what these genres represent today.
Lost Whiskey Engine is an improvisational String Band based in Truckee, California. Their influences stem from traditional folk/bluegrass to free-form exploration of jam rock. In addition to a broad range of classic cover tunes, LWE performs a unique catalogue of original songs written by brothers Sean and Conor McAlindin. With Mick James holding down the bass and each member contributing to vocal harmonies, these boys are sure to bring an old-time, feel-good sound that’ll get you singing along and dancing to the rhythm. Known for both its solid song arrangements and creative musical exploration, this band brings humorous surprises and special guests along for every ride.
