Here at the Crazy Horse we pride ourselves on eclectic music and presenting a wide array of genres. This will be the first time in many a moon that we’ve taken the plunge into full-tilt surf music. You should be thrilled to know that the band playing it happens to be the legendary Surfer Joe, all the way from Livorno, Italy!

Surfer Joe has been involved in the surf music scene since the middle of the 90s, playing more than a hundred concerts a year around the world. We’re talking about the most active artist in modern surf music, representing the most authentic side of the genre. They carry on the legacy of original California bands of the early 60s with their sound and energy. The audience will instantly be transported into an alternate dimension of pure grooviness. Surfer Joe is extremely dynamic, powerful and wield those signature, reverb-drenched surf sounds with daredevil panache.

About the Opening Band: Golden Boots

From the cassette tape wilds of downtown Tucson, Arizona…it’s the Golden Boots! Formed in 2002 by artists Ryen Eggleston and Dimitri Manos, Golden Boots is a lo-fi and often ragged take on folk and pop rock. The trio has a charismatic diversity which sets them apart like your favorite lunchbox from the second grade. The common thread with all of their creative output is a desire to playfully deconstruct American roots music with an indie and punk-country spirit. We foresee this being a perfect lead-in to the sounds of Surfer Joe.
