Mike Seeba is Titanium Buddha
Friday, November 2 @ 11:30 pm - 1:00 am
Mike Seeba (AKA, Titanium Buddha) integrates live Classical Indian sitar with beats and synth to create a unique form of psychedelic lounge music.
Deep bass grooves, powerful beats, layers of electronic drones, and subtle melodic inspiration combine to create a mature and captivating atmosphere. This will be the perfect music to transition too following the Live Phish Webcast.
Seeba began studying Classical Indian music in 2001, at the age of 28 under the venerated maestro Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. After years of study in the states, in 2006 he devoted the next two years of life to India, in an attempt to understand the culture from which this fascinating music arose. Lost in a whirlwind of folk and popular music, he temporarily set aside his classical training in an attempt to absorb this new place that he had fallen in love with. It was an experience that profoundly changed him.
Since his return to the states, Seeba has been honing and perfecting his blend of musical inspirations, providing an often inaccessible glimpse of ancient songs within the context of modern sensibility. He can be found collaborating with a variety of musicians, styles and venues along the West Coast.
