Chris Heckmann & Dirte Elvis
Saturday, December 23 / 9:00 pm-12:30 am
/ $5

It was two days before Christmas and all through the land
Many creatures were stirring and getting out of hand
They had no desire to stay home as the tree was already dressed
The shopping was done and there was no reason to be stressed
It was time to be merry and gather for some cheer
“Let’s go down to the Crazy Horse,” they said, “and have a few beers.”
It was a night for acoustic warmth in contrast to the cold air
The energy inside was crackling without any point of compare
Chris Heckmann went on first, the salt of the earth troubadour
He played a lot of Dead, cowboy songs and more
Then came along Dirte Elvis and his sound was so delish
The frontman from Knuf would do everything from holiday songs to Phish
Kind of like Santa there would be a freelance singer, guitarist and all-around nice guy
His voice is one so many of us have grown to love, the man known as Tim High
Come gather ye Nevada City faithful and savor these local treasures
Music is medicine; we live for these sorts of pleasures
