Kyle Smith w/ El Dub
Friday, March 22 / 9:30 pm-12:30 am
/ $20 – $25
The Kyle Smith phenomenon is a real thing. When Kyle Smith made his debut here back in April ‘22, people came from far and wide. They were all wearing his swag and buzzing in mutual appreciation for one of the hottest up-and-coming artists in the west. The singer/songwriter/guitarist from Ventura, CA presents a blend of “Cali-Reggae” influenced by Ska, Hip-Hop, and Punk-Rock that is catchy & truthful. He’s come a long way from then until now and returns to the Crazy Horse for his third time as a humble, yet extremely confident man on a mission.
Kyle’s roots come from troubled youth and addiction. His songs give listeners a glimpse of the life he endured with songs like “Dope Fiend” and “Jaded” all the while keeping an uplifting spirit and tempo. Kyle’s goal in life is to give hope and spread positive vibes with his music. His talent is raw, natural and unforced. The way he connects with an audience is so pure and heartfelt. With a flash of his smile Kyle immediately warms up the room and invites you into his world.
Kyle’s release, “My Friend” (featuring Dan Kelly of Fortunate Youth) debuted at #3 on iTunes Top Reggae songs in April of 2021. He has been touring & performing nationally at festivals such as California Roots, One Love Cali Reggae Fest, Mammoth Reggae Festival and more. His band is top notch as well and you’ll marvel at the way they pull everyone together on the same wavelength from the first note.
