Trashy Annie w/ Tim High & The Mighty

Saturday, May 4 / 9:30 pm-1:30 am

/ $15

”Annie’s stage presence mirrors that of Janis Joplin, Grace Slick and Joan Jett while being uniquely her.  That’s what I love about her.  Equal parts diamonds and dirt.” Holly Hammet, Our Generation Radio

All the way from Nashville, rising star, award-winning songwriter Annie Davis is a force of nature. This dynamo is a genre-blending mix of Joan Jett, Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift and the Go-Go’s with a side of 80’s Hair Metal, 90’s Alt-Rock and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, resulting in the most original new artist in years!

The band’s debut album, Sticks & Stones was released in May 2023 by indie powerhouse Cleopatra Records and includes the award-winning song “Somethin’ in the Water” and crowd favorites “‘Bama”, “God Save the Queen”, and “Born Pretty”.  Sticks & Stones was submitted for Grammy consideration by the Recording Academy, and continues to garner critical acclaim for Annie’s innovative ability to blend story-driven country roots with heart pounding rock and roll.

Trashy Annie will make you laugh, cry, dance, sing along and wonder where in the hell this band came from.  In the words of their fans “You simply CANNOT leave a Trashy Annie show in a bad mood.  It’s physically impossible!”

About the Late Night Set with Tim High & The Mighty:

No one can contend that “rock ‘n roll is dead” after absorbing the awesome power of Tim High & The Mighty. Led by our trusty sound engineer Tim High (a regular guest attraction with Band Beyond Description), The Mighty is driven by the full-hearted gusto of his vocal talent. Their thoughtfully-selected repertoire of classic rock favorites takes you down the memory lane of 1970’s radio with Tim’s passionate delivery making these songs seem like his own.

This Truckee-based band is all juiced up and ready to go with the addition of new guitar ace, David Faber. The backbone of The Mighty is the vicious rhythm section of John “Morty” Morton on bass and Tim Stiletto on drums. These guys will take you back to that freedom you felt, rocking out to your favorite band in college. They’ll add the ultimate exclamation point on the night after Trashy Annie whips the room into a frenzy!
