Saturday, April 20 / 9:00 pm-1:30 am

/ $20

When TV Broken 3rd Eye Open takes the stage, they open a portal into an alternate dimension of sonic possibility. These shapeshifting chameleons of groove-laden lusciousness alchemize a matrix of styles into a psychedelic explosion of sound. Their improvisational forays sprout from a fertile foundation of both exotic world music and funky, jam-rock. Since adding the luminescent Katie Skene as a semi-permanent guest on guitar and vocals, there has been no looking back. She asserts herself as one of the most spellbinding frontwomen in the game while also complementing the signature TV Broken sound with irresistible swagger.

aOver the past nine years, TV Broken have established themselves at music festivals such as Lightning in a Bottle, Symbiosis, Lucidity, Burning Man, Santa Cruz Music Festival, New Orleans Jazzfest and many others. They are part of the lineups of the upcoming Texas Eclipse Festival as well as the Golden Road Gathering. They have recently provided support on tours with Tauk and have upcoming slots supporting Kitchen Dwellers and Andy Frasco and The U.N. They have a special connection with the community here in Nevada City and will have some tricks up their sleeves while celebrating this highest of holidays.

DJ Kronosaurus Flex back to once again form a dynamic pairing with TV Broken! This wax pioneer has been crushing the scene down in San Diego and we had to make sure to carve out a spot for him at his favorite venue while he makes a visit back to his old haunt. He brings an all-vinyl arsenal of deep cuts to evoke the most powerful emotional response from the whole spectrum of music junkies. Not only does he bust out an intoxicating flow of dance euphoria, he does so in the most strategic way possible. His sets are like sonic poetry as every song serves a distinctive purpose as part of the groove puzzle. Kronosaurus will be dialing up deep cuts of funky, international boogaloo, classic rock and beyond.
